We are starting more one series of articles to compare the best supercars in the world and put your best qualities side by side. So, let’s begin with a comparison of the currently two world’s fastest cars. The Bugatti Veyron SS and Hennessey Venom GT.

2010, June 26, the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport breaks the world speed record at Ehra Lessien, the VW test track in Germany, becoming the fastest production car in the world.

The Bugatti Veyron SuperSport reached a top speed of 431,072km/h or 267.856 mph in the straight in Ehra Lessien with 5.4 miles or 8.7 km. While, on February 14, 2014, the Hennessey Venom GT reached the incredible top speed of 270.49 mph (about 435km/h) on the 3.2-mile Space Shuttle landing runway at the John F. Kennedy Space Center.

Undeniably the Hennessey Venom GT proved to be faster on a shorter runway; it broke the record of 0-300km/h (0-186mph) belonging to Koenigsegg Agera R with the time of 14.53 seconds, the Venom GT lowered this time to 13.63 seconds. Yeah, the Bugatti Veyron continues being faster in acceleration with a sprint from 0-100km/h ( 0-62mph ) in 2.5 seconds against the 2.7 seconds of Venom GT running of 0-60mph (0-97km/h).

Although the Hennessey Venom GT exceeded the top speed of the Bugatti Veyron SS and was the world’s first street car that exceeded the line of 270mph, the Veyron SS remains the world’s fastest production car by Guinness.

According to the rules of Guinness, to be considered a production car, a vehicle must have at least 20 units build and, also, to get the title of fastest production car in the world the vehicle needs to run in both wind directions. The Venom GT run only in one direction and have built just 11 units.

We can’t deny the Hennessey Venom GT is faster than Bugatti Veyron SS although the difference in speed is only 2.64mph (3.21km/h). John Hennessey said that it can go fastest than this in a larger straight, and I don’t doubt that.

The Bugatti Veyron SS has the body in carbon fiber and orange, and it received updates to increase its top speed.

The Veyron SS does not use the roof scoops as the standard Veyrons. Instead, it uses a piece of carbon fiber and air intakes to increase the aerodynamic.

At the front, the Veyron SS received more air vents and air splitters in both air intakes. The wheels were designed specially to the SS World Record Edition.

The Bugatti Veyron SS uses a 7-speed dual clutch automated manual transmission which takes the power to its four wheels.

The Hennessey Venom GT boasts a body in carbon fiber and composite or aluminum hybrid monocoque-space frame, and a weight of just 1244 kg with a perfect ratio of 1 kg to 1hp… The Venom GT is based on the Lotus Elise/Exige, and it is considered as a tuned car.

It boasts several parts in carbon fiber as the rear diffuser, side skirts, redesigned front bumper, roof scoop and a dynamic rear wing. The Venom GT uses a 6-speed manual transmission, and it is rear wheel drive.

And which one is the most beautiful? Well, this answer will change from person to person, you can agree or not. I rated from 0 to 10 the beauty of them, where 0 is horrible, and 10 is gorgeous, wonderful, I would marry this car (I think you got it)… Well, here, the Bugatti Veyron SS got a seven while the Hennessey Venom GT got a 5.

In our comparison of the lowest cost taking into consideration the base price, the faster in performance ( 0-62, 0-186 and top speed ), less weight, most powerful and the most beautiful, as you noticed the Hennessey Venom GT won… it lost just in acceleration from 0-62 and in beauty… But don’t worry guys the Veyron is the best supercar of the 21st century or at least of the last decade. It is the best in innovation.
