Lamborghini has revealed the new Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo in this Monterey Car Week, the car will replace the current 2013 Gallardos on 2015 Lamborghini BlancPain Super Trofeo Series.
The Huracán race car has been totally upgraded to reach better performance on the tracks. Starting with the body, the Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo has improvements along the whole body to increase downforce and cooling. The redesigned front bumper receives a big lip and enormous winglets, air vents were installed on the hood as well as above the front wheels to help dissipate heat from the brakes, the windows receive air intakes and behind windows have vents. The side air intakes were modified and now they are larger and resemble those of Lamborghini Gallardo, the two exhaust pipes are in the rear center, the rear diffuser was modified and also receives winglets and, of course the Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo as a race car has center-lock wheels and this one also boasts a huge rear wing.
Under the hood, or rather, under the new engine cover pulses a 5.2-liter V10 engine upgraded which dumps 620 hp on the ground. Unlike standard Huracan, the race version is not all-wheel drive, the Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo as you noticed on its name this one is rear-wheel drive and it has 10 hp over than standard Huracan.
The Lamborghini will present the Huracan LP620-4 Super Trofeo also to Asia and Europe.
