As Bugatti has announced previously, All the six Bugatti Legends are side to side at The Quail and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance…
The First Legend, Jean Pierre-Wimille Edition was unveiled at The Quail last year and so far Bugatti presented other editions to pay tribute to important people in Bugatti history. The six legends are based on Bugatti Veyron Vitesse each legend limited to just 3 copies, 18 in total, priced to € 2.35 million each copy or $3.15 million ( on current rates) and all already sold.
The last one is the Ettore Bugatti Legend Edition, a legend to pay tribute to the man who founded the brand. Based on Bugatti Veyron Vitesse and color-scheme inspired on 1932 Type 41 Royale, the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Ettore Bugatti Legend Edition celebrates the success and the end of the special series ‘Les Legendes de Bugatti’.
As I said, the first legend was the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Jean Pierre-Wimille Legend Edition launched at 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and pays tribute to Jean Pierre-Wimille, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice for Bugatti… the color-scheme is two tone blue based on Type 57G tank.
The second legend was launched at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Jean Bugatti is completely black based on Type 57 SC Atlantic and pay tribute to Jean Bugatti, the oldest son of Bugatti’s founder Ettore Bugatti.
The Third legend is the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Meo Costantini introduced at 2013 Dubai International Motor Show in honor to Meo Costantini, who was the head of Bugatti race team and twice winner of Targa Florio… Meo Costantini Legend Edition receives a blue and aluminium color-scheme, inspired by Type 35.
Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Rembrandt Bugatti, the fourth legend, presented at 2013 Geneva Motor Show to honor the Ettore Bugatti’s younger brother, one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century and creator of the dancing elephant sculpture gracing the radiator of Bugatti Type 41… The car is in brown and bronze.
The fifth legend is the only one which didn’t pay tribute to a person, but to a car… The Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Black Bess color scheme is inspired by Type 18 “Black Bess” the most fastest road vehicle in its time… The Black Bess Legend Edition is completely black with 24-carat gold accents.
And the last legend, as I also said, is the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Ettore Bugatti presented in 2014 The Quail in tribute to Ettore Bugatti, company founder and automotive pioneer… The Ettore Bugatti Legend edition is inspired by Type 41 Royale and boasts a hand polished aluminium and dark blue color-scheme.
