M2K Ford GT hits 440 km/h at Texas Mile

Awesome, right?! M2K Motorsports Ford GT reached a stunning top speed of 273.7 mph or 440.47 km/h in a standing mile at the Texas Mile.

This is a impressive speed… The M2K Motorsports Twin Turbo Supercharged Nitrous Ford GT is able to win easy of the Bugatti Veyron SS and the Hennessey Venom GT which boast a top speed of 267.856 mph ( 431.072 km/ ) and 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h), respectively. And, M2K Ford GT was faster than this, the car is the current record holder at the Texas Mile with the mark of 278 mph ( 447.39 km/h ) in a mile. Now, M2K Motorsports is working to beat 280 mph (450km/h)… it will be easy!

The fastest standing mile in a street car was 283.232 mph ( 455.817 km/h ), achieved by Johnny Bohmer, owner of Performance Power Racing (USA) and Driver of the BADD GT at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, on 16 October 2012. Johnny used a 1700 hp 2006 Ford GT to set the record.
