McLaren Special Operations just revealed a nice special edition based on the McLaren 650S in commemoration to the 20th anniversary of the victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by the McLaren F1 GTR. The 650S-variation is dubbed the 2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition.
Besides of pay homage to the winning-race car, the McLaren 650S Limited Edition receives some improvements based on the Chassis #001 McLaren F1 GTR that took the championship that year (1995) as the roof Snorkel as well as the louvered front fenders.
furthermore, the car even receives some unique additions to enrich the visual of the 650S. Starting from the front, the McLaren 650S Limited Edition receives a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber side blades, a unique limited edition forged alloy wheels made by MSO especially for the car, including new brake calipers in orange. At the rear, MSO fitted the car with a carbon fiber front bumper and carbon fiber rear diffuser as well. The exterior body boasts also a unique paint color of dark blue.
Inside, now you can find more carbon fiber, unique seats with the center in orange alcantara to match with the brake calipers, moreover, the steering wheel is coated with alcantara.
Beneath the skin the McLaren 650S Limited Edition remains the same… it means the car continues being pushed by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivering 641hp.
The 2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition is built from the coupe-version only and comes in a limited series of just 50 vehicles.
