Chris Harris Tests Mercedes AMG GT S on Laguna Seca

The Mercedes AMG GT was presented during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, a couple of months ago. The car was totally built in-house by Mercedes with a V8 bi-turbo and improvements in a similar body to the SLS. Recently, Chris Harris tested the Mercedes-AMG GT S, a version more powerful of the AMG GT on the Laguna Seca Raceway.

The Mercedes AMG GT is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo engine delivering 462 hp (340 kW) at 6000 rpm and torque of 440 lb-ft (600 Nm) at 5000 rpm able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds and top speed of 304 km/h (189 mph), while the GT-S is powered by the same engine, but it delivers 510 hp (375 kW ) at 6250 rpm with maximum torque of 480 lb-ft (650Nm) at 4750 rpm making possible the GT-S reach the same 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and top speed of 310 km/h (190 mph).
