A DB9 replacement based on an all-new platform is expected in 2016. While this moment is quite distant, Aston Martin is thinking to do something special this year, or in other words, release an extreme version of its Vantage at Geneva Motor Show coming this March.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will boast an upgraded 6.0-liter V12 engine with power around 600bhp since the current V12 Vantage S boasts 565 hp. An automated-manual Sportshift box is expected, which will allow quicker shifts and a sprint from zero to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds.
Furthermore, the Vantage GT3, as usual on GT3 variants, will feature an extreme body with huge front spoiler, rear diffuser, a monstrous rear wing, upgraded suspension and more.
