Today, January 21, at the Lamborghini’s HQ in Sant’agata was unveiled the awesome GT3-variant of the already awesome Huracán. The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 comes just five months after the Squadra Corse version be unveiled during the Monterey Car Week, August 2014.
Lamborghini presented its track-only baby bull using a green livery and boasting an extreme body… for improve the performance, of course. The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is equipped with an Alu-Carbon chassis and a fully integrated FIA-compliant roll-cage. The subframes suffered changes to accommodate a high performance water radiator at the front, and for a better positioning the gearbox at the rear, improving the aerodynamic and weight distribution, which is 42/58 front/rear its curb-weight of 1239 Kg (2731 lbs).
The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is equipped with a new bodywork fast- fittings, enhanced-performing engine and gearbox oil cooler. Looking for the safely, Lamborghini equipped the GT3 with carbon frame 8862 specification seat, an OMP fire extinguishing system and roof hatch enabling quick assistance by medical personnel through the roof of the car, in case of need. Seat belts are provided by OMP, the fuel tank is an FT3 type and the pedals are adjustable.
Beneath the skin, the same 5.2-liter V10 engine but they did not say how much power it is able to produce, probably the power stands at 620hp as the Huracán Super Trofeo. The V10 direct injection engine mounted is managed by a Bosch Motorsport control unit that also manages traction control, gearbox and the TFT display on the dashboard. The rear-wheel drive Lamborghini Huracán GT3 uses a sequential six-speed gearbox and a three-disc racing clutch.
Awesome, right? you’ll can see the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 in action in the Blancpain Endurance Series 2015, among which is included the famous Spa-Francorchamps 24-hours race.
