At the beginning of month, Koenigsegg announced two cars to be revealed during this 2015 Geneva Motor Show — the Agera RS and one another mega car called Regera — at that moment, Koenigsegg had released just a poster with the name of the new car, but now more information about this machine emerges.
As said, the Regera is a mega car, so we can expect this new Koenigsegg machine pumping out, at least, 1MW of power, or 1360 hp. And the new Regera will have a hybrid powertrain featuring 700 hp electrical motors and an impressive 9 kWh liquid cooled battery pack… Yeah, the world’s first hybrid megacar.
Koenigsegg is confident that its brand new mega car will be one of the fastest cars around a track… more than that, Koenigsegg said that the only challenger around a track that could be faster, is another Koenigsegg.
Regera means “to reign” in Swedish and it will come to reign as the king of the road, as the fastest accelerating, most powerful production car ever. With the introduction of the Regera, Koenigsegg will, for the first time ever, have two parallel models in production.
