Alongside the Regera megacar stands another awesome and extreme machine by Koenigsegg at the Geneva Motor Show… The Koenigsegg Agera RS, successor of the Agera R.
The Koenigsegg Agera RS uses advanced technology coming from the One:1 — the design is also based on the mega car, for sure. The car is completely in exposed carbon fiber (including wheels) with orange accents around the body. Koenigsegg added an optimized front splitter, winglets, an advanced dynamic underbody flap system and a dynamically active rear spoiler to its brand new RS hypercar. It generates 450 kg of downforce at 250 km/h (155 mph).
The Agera R’s engine has been optimized for regular pump gas…now, the 5.0-liter V8 engine produces 1160bhp using regular petrol.
Being entire in carbon fiber, the Koenigsegg Agera RS is lighter, too. It has a dry-weight of just 1295 kg (2854 lbs) and a curb-weight of 1395 kg (3075 lbs). It keeps the Agera’s 7-speed paddle-shift with auto shift mode Koenigsegg Electronic differential.
RS also presents the 3G Pre-Active chassis coming from the One:1 — which you can load several track settings — as well as alternative aero package, active sound cancellation and more.
Koenigsegg Agera RS comes as a limited series with just 25 units available worldwide… and ten have already been sold during a preview in Angelholm, Sweden.
