If you are here, you probably know what Koenigsegg is — or not… A swedish automaker which builds some of the most awesome, fast and powerful hypercars in the earth — it goes further than that, Koenigsegg builds mega cars.
In the short video below, the founder Christian von Koenigsegg explain for all of us what Koenigsegg really is and talks about one of its most extreme creations… the One:1.
The Koenigsegg One:1 is a very extreme machine unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2014 as the world’s first mega car.
Projected to tracks, but totaly road legal, the Koenigsegg One:1 has an extreme design with canards and a giant top-mounted rear wing which creates an enormous downforce — 610 kg (1344 lb) at 260 km/h (160 mph).
With a 5.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine which generates amazing 1360 horsepower (1 MW) and with a curb weight of 1360 kg — including 100% fluids and 50% fuel — the Koenigsegg One:1 has a perfect power-ratio, 1 horsepower for each kilogram. This is the reason of the name One:1.
Only six units of the megacar were made, each one by the price of $2.4 million.
Koenigsegg showed us its newest mega car at the Geneva Motor Show this march… in fact, a hybrid mega car with over 1500 hp named Regera.
