Koenigsegg’s second mega car, Regera, was revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The Swedish automaker begins disclose the secrets of its new mega-machine.
Koenigsegg Regera is a hybrid mega car — but, not a regular hybrid — featuring a drivetrain that Koenigsegg calls “Direct Drive”, which combines a 5.0-liter V8 engine with an electric drive system powered by a 9-kWh battery, pushing out awesome 1500 hp.
Koenigsegg Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg is not a fan of regular hybrid because it adds weight. At this exactly moment we don’t know which was the solution found by Koenigsegg to solve this problem.
We don’t know yet the (curb or even dry) weight of this insane machine or even performance figures.. One of its performance claims is a 0-248 mph (400 km/h) sprint in under 20 seconds… yeah, as the One:1.
