When Koenigsegg released the One:1 at Geneva Motor Show last year, it said that its megacar could be configured (suspension, rear wing angle) to reach the best on each track around the world, so who boasts a Koenigsegg One:1 in his garage can access these settings through his smart phone.
A small team from Koenigsegg, recently, headed to Japan with the 1MW monster to race around the famous Suzuka Formula One circuit. Certainly, Koenigsegg took its car to the Japanese circuit to configure it… but, ended up setting a new lap time record too.
Through its official youtube’s channel, Koenigsegg released a video with the onboard footage of the One:1 racing around the Suzuka Circuit and you can see it right below.
Remembering, Koenigsegg wants to take the One:1 to Nurburgring circuit and set a new lap time record with its megacar. Currently, the fastest series production street-legal automobile on the ‘Ring is the Porsche 918 Spyder with a lap time of 6:57. Another supercar that we can mention here is the Lamborghini Aventador SV, which concluded the feat in 6:59 becoming one of a few to break the 7 minutes barrier.
The Koenigsegg One:1 is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine developing 1360 horsepower and 1371 Nm of toque. With an estimated top speed over 280 mph (450 km/h), the one:1 promises a sprint from zero to 248 mph (400 km/h) in mere 20 seconds.
