Ferrari California T is an updated version of the 2008 California featuring new sheetmetal, new interior, a revised chassis and a new turbocharged powertrain.
Launched at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, this prancing horse came with a new 3.9 liter bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 552 bhp (412 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 557 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm as well as an improved 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. It means a 0-62 sprint in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h).
The Ferrari California T has nice performance figures, but Novitec Rosso presents a tuning package for those who want their Prancing Horse a little more powerful, as well as with new aerodynamic features.
Thanks to ECU improvements, Novitec Rosso managed to give 85hp (86PS) and 101Nm (75 lb-ft) boost to 637hp (646PS) and 856Nm (631 lb-ft) respectively.
With more power and torque, Novitec Rosso Ferrari California T reaches 62 mph 0.3 seconds quicker than the standard model while the top speed jumps to 201 mph (316 km/h).
Novitec Rosso has also equipped the thoroughbred horse with a new exhaust system and new springs which reduces the height by 40mm and 30mm front and rear respectively.
As I said, the German tuner offers, too, a body kit to enrich the aggressive look of this front-mid-engined supercar that includes a front lip, hood air intakes, side air outlets, mirror caps, side skirts, rear diffuser, trunk spoiler and a new set of wheels (21-inch front and 22-inch rear).
