Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder Revealed

Lamborghini has just revealed the brand new Huracan LP610-4 Spyder ahead its official presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Spyder, as the coupé, come boasting a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine pumping out 610 hp (449 kW) at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque of 560 Nm (413 lb ft) at 6,500 rpm. This power is taken to all wheels via a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission to a top speed of 201 mph (324 km/h), 0-62 sprint in 3.4 seconds and 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in 10.2 seconds.

“The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder is as exciting to look at as it is to drive”

The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder is 1 mph slower than the coupé, while its 0-62 sprint takes additional 0.2 seconds and 0-124 sprint takes 0.3 seconds more than the coupé baby bull.

About weight, as always, the spyder version is some kilograms heavier than the coupé. Thus, while the Lamborghini Huracan coupé has dry-weight of 1,422 kg (3,135 lb), its Spyder variation has 1,542 kg (2,204 lbs) or 120 kg (264.5 lbs) more than it.

As previous said, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder uses a soft top — available in three colors: black, brown and red. The new electrohydraulic, lightweight soft top opens via a button positioned on the central tunnel in just 17 seconds up to a driving speed of 50 km/h (31 mph).

A Lamborghini Huracan Spyder can be yours by a price of 186.450 euros — or $210.970 in current rates — plus taxes with deliveries begin in spring 2016.

“The Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder is the next chapter in the success story of the naturally aspirated V10 Huracán, and continues a Lamborghini tradition of open air motoring. The Huracán Spyder combines the innovation, performance and appeal of the Huracán coupé, with new technologies and an added emotional dimension. Its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder, was the best-selling open top model in Lamborghini’s history: we expect the Huracán Spyder to exceed its predecessor in every way.”  Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
