Hennessey will Bring a 1451 bhp Venom GT to SEMA 2015

We all know that the Hennessey Venom GT is a highly tuned car based on Lotus Exige/Elise, but in spite of that it manage to achieve a memorable feat… to go faster than the almighty Bugatti Veyron SS.

The hennessey Venom GT is awesome for sure, but it is coming better — or, at least, more powerful– to this SEMA show.

In its most powerful form the Venom GT has 1244 bhp at 6600 rpm and maximum torque of 1155 lb-ft at 4400 rpm. Now, after some upgrades, the 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine is able to deliver nothing less than 1451 ponies to its rear wheels through the Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission.

With a 207 bhp boost and the ridiculous curb-weight of 2,743 lb (1,244 kg) , this Hennessey Venom GT Spyder claims a top speed of over 280 mph (450 km/h), while a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration will be achieved in 2.4 seconds and a quarter mile is believed to be possible in 9.4 seconds at 167 mph.

Although more power, Hennessey did not make any modification/improvement on the body to guarantee more downforce in such incredible speeds that the car supposedly can reach… But, well, this is probably a preview of what is coming in the Venom F5.
