Here’s How the McLaren 650S Can-Am Looks in Papaya Spark and Onyx Black

McLaren has recently revealed a special edition to honor the 50th anniversary of the inaugural Can-Am racing season in 1966… The McLaren 650S Can-Am.

Based on 650S Spider, the newest McLaren’s special edition is limited in only 50 units available in 3 different colors, or rather, 3 different liveries… Mars Red, Papaya Spark and Onyx Black.

We’ve already seen a McLaren 650S Can-Am in Mars Red because this is that color we saw in the release pictures. Now here’s the other two finishes available for the car.

The papaya spark McLaren 650S Can-Am edition (above) apart from the orange on its body also receives some accents in blue, which for me looks most like purple than actually blue. Inside we can see some orange details, the centre of the seats are in blue Alcantara (looks like purple such as the exterior accents) and the rest is coated by black leather.

The Onyx Black 650S Can-Am (the first picture of this post)… well, it is black as the name says, but to enrish the look of the car McLaren added two red stripes that crosses the body — and this is for sure the most attractive livery available. Matching with the exterior, the interior is completely coated by black leather and has seats with red Alcantara centres.

The engine that pushes this limited edition to a top speed of 329 km/h (204 mph) is exactly the same that the McLaren 650S Spider uses… the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine developing 650 horsepower (641 bhp) and 678 Nm (500lb ft) of torque.
