A silver Koenigsegg Agera R was severely damaged in a crash in Chongqing, China, last night.
There’s no official info about the reason/s of the accident, but the evidences point that the driver just lost the control of its powerful Swedish machine and ended up crashing.
Fortunately, neither occupants of the vehicle nor other people on the scene were injured in the accident.
The Koenigsegg Agera R, on other other hand, got its front bumper destroyed by the force of the impact while its left rear wheel was torn off. Although the force of the impact and the damages already mentioned, the interior got intact thanks to the carbon fiber tub… as we can notice by one of the pictures of the car, the airbags didn’t even deploy.
This Koenigsegg Agera R in question is the Chassis #82 and it left the Koenigsegg’s factory in Angelholm originally as a standard Agera, but sometime after it returned to the factory to be equipped with the Agera R performance upgrade.
So, this –as any other– Agera R is powered by a 5.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with 1140 hp and 1200NM of maximum torque and, likely, it will visit the place where it was born once again to be repaired.
