Watch Jay Leno and Anthony Garbis, Audi’s product manager, talking about the new and still naturally aspirated Audi R8 — here, an Audi R8 V10 Plus — at this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage.
The new Audi R8 was officially revealed at the Geneva Motor Show last year. The new R8 has, mainly, a redesigned front and rear bumper. The front grille has a trapezoidal shape while the front air intakes and the rear air vents present vertical splitters. In the case of the Audi R8 V10 Plus, it counts with a fixed rear wing in carbon fiber.
The new Audi R8 is available only as a V10 in two forms, V10 and V10 Plus. The V10 Plus, which you can see being tested on the video above, is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine (obviously) able to deliver 610 HP and 560 NM of torque… The standard R8 V10 develops 540 HP.
The Audi R8 V10 Plus can accelerate from 0-62 (0-100 km/h) in about 3.2 seconds and to reach a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
