Aston Martin is working on a track-oriented version of the V8 Vantage, and the car has been spied testing on Nurburgring.
The car will be called Vantage GT8 and will come as the most hardcore street version of the Aston Martin Vantage and a new competitor to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
As we can notice, the Vantage GT8 uses a kit similar to that one on the Vantage GT12, but the rear diffuser has a simplified design. The Vantage GT8 is expected to be the lightest of the Vantage series. To accomplish this goal, Aston Martin has used titanium, aluminum and a plethora of carbon fiber too.
Under the hood is expected a 4.7-liter V8 naturally aspirated which could deliver around 430hp to the rear wheels through a six-speed or maybe a seven-speed manual gearbox.
According to reports, the British automaker will limit its new hardcore toy to 150 units (50 units more than the Vantage GT12), and only 40 of them will remain in the UK.
Supposedly, Aston Martin will publicly unveil the Vantage GT8 this month, so stay tuned!
