Novitec Rosso has presented to the world its newest project involving a Maranello’s wild horse. Involving the Ferrari 488 GTB to be more exact.
The V8-engined Ferrari has gained some new horses to its herd and now it boasts 722 hp (568kW) and 892 NM (658 lb-ft) of torque. This means an increase of 102 metric hp in the Ferrari 488 original amount of power. Novitec Rosso yet provides the car a feature which allows the engine tuning to be activated and deactivated in a flash through a Manettino dial on the steering wheel.
To provide those new horses to the 488 GTB, Novitec Rosso installed two in-house N-TRONIC control modules, which control the eight-cylinder, allowing the Ferrari specialist achieve new programmed mapping for injection and ignition and modify the electronic boost pressure control. In addition, Novitec has also equipped the Prancing horse with a new high-performance exhaust system that comes with optional sound management.
With 772hp coming out the 3.9-liter twin turbo V8 engine, the Ferrari 488 GTB by Novitec Rosso manages to sprint from inertia to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and if it continues accelerating it can hit a top speed of 212 mph (342 km/h).
Apart from the boost in power, Novitec Rosso has also dressed the Ferrari 488 GTB with naked carbon fiber parts, including new front lip, side skirt, rear diffuser and a rear wing.
The car is riding on the new set of NF4 21-inch forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero high-performance tires and a new in-house made hydraulic suspension system lowers the car by about 35mm. Besides of lowering, the hydraulic front lift system can also raise the 488 by 40 millimeters at the touch of a button.
Yeah, the Novitec Rosso has also put the hands inside too. The updates include from longer paddle shirts in naked carbon fiber to exclusive leather and Alcantara interior finishes.
