Well, it became!!!
The official video from Koenigsegg about the feat they managed to achieve in a closed section of a Nevada highway yesterday is not out yet — The Koenigsegg Agera RS is the new fastest car in the world –. But, I bring to you two videos of some guys that were at the site when Koenigsegg was attempting to break the record.
The Koenigsegg Agera RS broke the World record for the Fastest Production Car held by the Bugatti Veyron SS — with an average top speed of 267.9 mph (431.1 km/h) — running in two directions with an average top speed of 277.9 mph (447.2 km/h) — 271.2 mph (436.4 km/h) in one way and 284.6 mph (458 km/h) in the other. Oh, it also managed to go faster than the 270 mph of the Hennessey Venom GT.
Koenigsegg also took advantage of the moment to officialize the 0-400kph-0 record and accelerated from zero to 400 km/h (248 mph) and back to zero in just 33.87 seconds.
