Lamborghini Urus vs Huracan is a predictable but still fun to watch drag race

Postado por Edhywann em 03/Sep/2018 -

If you would place your bets on a car in a drag race which one you would choose, a supercar or an SUV?

Before asking, no, the Lamborghini Urus is not hiding a very modified engine with thousands of horses under that hood. It is very stock.

The Lamborghini’s SUV is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 turbo putting out 650bhp to push that big body while the baby bull you well know about that 602bhp V10 naturally aspirated engine that lies behind the driver’s head, right?

So, check out the video, it’s clear which one gonna cross the line first (at least, when the launch control is on) but this is a fun to watch bull racing.

Nurburgring has a new King: Lamborghini Aventador SVJ

Postado por Edhywann em 28/Jul/2018 -

Yeah, Lamborghini did it again.

Back in 2016, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante set the production car record around the Nurburgring Nordschleife with a lap time of 6:52.01 beaten by the Porsche 911 GT2 RS in September 2017.

Now the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ managed to beat the Porsche with a lap time of 6:44.97. Behind the wheel of the very camouflaged bull, the Lamborghini driver Marco Mapelli hit the 20.6 km track under the formal scrutiny of Remak personnel who managed time and GPS certification using VBOX-Racelogic instrumentation.

Down below is the full video with the onboard footage of the record.

“The Aventador SVJ takes the Jota suffix, following the Lamborghini tradition for denoting a car’s track-focused talent. This new car is the convergence of Lamborghini technologies to produce a super sports car that transcends current performance benchmarks,” explained Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman & CEO.

The new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ features the new version of the active aerodynamics system, the Lamborghini’s patented ALA 2.0 as well as new aerodynamic features.

Besides the “aerodynamic skills”, Lamborghini claims that its new car has the best power-to-weight ration with 1.98 kg per each horsepower, thus featuring a higher power output.

“Its tenure as the Nürburgring lap time record holder, even before its unveiling during Monterey Car Week in California in August, endorses Lamborghini’s competence in applying superlative design engineering and ground-breaking technologies. The SVJ is a super sports car at the zenith of performance, while also ensuring unrivaled driving pleasure,” said Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman & CEO.

The Huracan Performante faces the McLaren 720S on a Drag Race

Postado por Edhywann em 16/Jun/2018 -

Lamborghini Huracan Performante vs McLaren 720S

Lamborghini made the Huracan Performante to be fast  (around the tracks) and this is a fact. Performante means performance in Italian and this is what we can get from this Raging Bull.

From a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, the Huracan Performante generates 640hp  and 442 lb-ft of torque. It is 40 kg lighter than the regular Huracan and it goes from 0 to 62mph in just 2.9 seconds.

As said, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante was made to be fast around the tracks, so it boats Active Aerodynamics to generate maximum downforce, which does not help in a drag race.

The McLaren 720S, on the other hand, is a straight line beast. The V8 twin-turbo-powered car puts 710bhp on its rear wheels to hit 62mph in 2.9 seconds and 124 mph in 7.8 seconds.

Yeah, the numbers show a close result but if you have watched the video you already know it was not.

Novitec added a “Super” to the Lamborghini Aventador S

Postado por Edhywann em 30/Apr/2018 -

Novitec Torado kit for the Aventador S/Roadster S

As you well know, the Lamborghini Aventador S is a more aggressive version of the Aventador but not as much as the Aventador SV, a mid-range V12-powered ranging bull.

The Lamborghini Aventador S came in December 2016 with a more aggressive look and with even more power under the hood as well as the ‘Sport’ initial in the name.

It looks awesome but Novitec Torado just added a “Super” to both Aventador S and Roadster S (this last one released in September last year).

Novitec did it again

2 novitec torado lamborghini aventador s on vossen wheels 800x533

Novitec has already created body kits for the regular Aventador, Huracan, Huracan Spyder, RWD Huracan and even the Aventador SV and all, with no exception, look amazing. The Novitec Torado Aventador S is no different.

Just like the other Aventadors, Novitec fitted the S with an aerodynamic kit tested in the wind tunnel and made of carbon fiber. It features a trunk lid with air ducks, roof air scoop for the coupe, rear wing, front spoiler lip, side panels as well as a rear bumper attachment placed over the standard rear diffuser.

It looks awesome and it sounds awesome!

Apart from the aerodynamics, Novitec Torado makes sure the Lamborghini Aventador S’ V12 engine sounds even better, it provides for the 740hp raging bull a new exhaust system made of the lightweight Inconel and stainless steel.

The new exhaust system increases the sound, saves some weight and even gives the Aventador S some extra horsepower.

Yeah, a tuning project is not complete without a nice set of wheels.

Novitec sits the Aventador S in a very awesome set of wheels made exclusively for Lamborghini cars. The Type NL 3 forged is a central locking look made by the Miami-based Vossen Wheels.

Just for curiosity, the 6-spoke star-shaped wheels measure 9×20 at the front and 13×21 at the rear.

And last but not least, Novitec also makes available to the Aventador S/ Roadster S a full suspension kit and a lot of carbon fiber for the interior as well.

Rimac Concept_Two will boast staggering 1914hp

Postado por Edhywann em 05/Mar/2018 -

Rimac gonna reveal its new electric supercar at this Geneva International Motor Show.

To give us a clue on what is coming, Rimac has released this video on what we can see how much power its electric-powered monster can generate… staggering 1914hp.

It’s 826hp more than its Concept_One and it has about 400 more horses than the Bugatti Chiron.

With this quantity of power, the maximum torque will be staggering as well. So, It probably will accelerate from 0-62mph in a blink of an eye. Ok, this is too much but we can expect this beast to reach 62mph in less than 2.5s or even less than 2s.

Is the 2019 Kia Forte better than the Lamborghini Aventador?

Postado por Edhywann em 21/Jan/2018 -

NO, just not, but Kia throws on the table some good points in a very funny way…

It’s all about confidence, isn’t it?

Who would compare a compact sedan with a V12 supercar? Well, Kia itself.

The South Korean manufacturer just made a very funny video showing off the benefits of its Forte in comparison to the well-known Lamborghini Aventador.

They even used the fact that the Aventador doors go up to point out the Forte’s 4 doors, which go out “like real doors”… kkk.

Check out the video.

Finally; The Lamborghini Huracan Performante

Postado por Edhywann em 06/Mar/2017 -

Lamborghini has not revealed the new Huracan Performante to the public just yet but the Sant’Agata guys released some details of the brand new V10-powered baby bull.

On March 1st, Lamborghini dropped a video showing its brand new car setting a new Nurburgring lap time record for the production vehicles. The Lamborghini Huracan Performante set 6:52.01 or about 5 seconds faster than the Porsche 918 Spyder which set 6:57 in 2013.

To know how the hell Lamborghini managed to perform this feat (some are saying it’s thanks to video editing) here’s the new details of the cars.

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante carries a more powerful version of the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine which generates 640 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.

Lamborghini also managed to remove 88lbs of bad fat or about 40 kg less. And, as a good track-focused supercar, the new Lamborghini Huracan Performante uses an “Active Aerodynamics” which reacts in 500ms to control downforce. The car is said to hit 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and overcome the 202 mph barrier (325 km/h) at its top speed. You can see it going over 186 on the ‘ring.

The exhaust system is all new allowing 70% of the total torque by 1000 rpm. The chassis is 15% stronger while the suspension gets more spring pressure and thicker sway bars.

New display for the driver and race seats are optional for the interior. The base price has been set at $274,390.

Cristiano Ronaldo Drives the Bugatti Chiron in new Commercial

Postado por Edhywann em 24/Feb/2017 -

A new commercial of the brand new Bugatti Chiron dropped online and, in addition to the 1500 beast, the soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is in.

Bugatti has requested Cristiano Ronaldo to give the Chiron a final test drive. In the video, we see Andy Wallace (Bugatti’s test driver) giving Cristino Ronaldo the key of the Chiron to a ride and I’m pretty sure he liked.

The Real Madrid’s player is a fan of super sports cars (well, he has some) and, among others, he boasts in his garage a Lamborghini Aventador, a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano as well as a Bugatti Veyron. Yeah, likely, the Chiron will enter this list.
